For over half a century in the banking service, BOF has maintained a sound operation and sustained its passion to proactively uplift the status of the Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) in the region, heeding the call for countryside development.

In her speech, BOF Chairman and President, Teresa David-Carlos shared, to quote: “It feels just like yesterday when the Rural Bank of Floridablanca, Inc. opened a small edifice in Del Carmen, Floridablanca on November 10, 1964. Then, after a few years, we already inaugurated our 1st branch, then our 2nd and now - our 16th.”

She was exultant on the growth of the bank at the same time seemingly reminiscing on many good memories since she assumed presidency in 1987. She went on adding: “Despite the macro-economic downward pressure and forthcoming ASEAN integration, today’s event exhibits once again, that only BOF has the initiative and capability to manage and keep overall risks under control, supported by our adequate liquidity reserves. The opening of Minalin branch invincibly proves our desire to strengthen the rural banking industry, reaching far ends in order to provide quality and innovative financial products and services to the underserved… and the unserved.”

Senior Executive Vice President IV, Susan David-Nunga closed the event saying: “We shall endeavor, like a farmer, to sow the seed of HOPE for our dear Minalin: to rise … to grow … to thrive … to succeed. More than anything, BOF is enthusiastic to see you, the Municipality, your micro, small and medium enterprises, your locals, to grab our extended hands as you pursue all your aspirations.”

Minalin, popularly known as the "Egg Basket of Philippines" because of its large scale production of eggs and chickens, is a fourth class municipality in Pampanga with merchandising, farming and fishing as the usual source of living. Tilapia, shrimp, crabs are also major products of the town. - JVC
