BOF, Inc. Receives a Special Award for Excellence in MSE Lending from SBC

SHANGRI-LA, MAKATI, July 31, 2015 - Two years in a row, SBC or Small Business Corporation recognizes BOF, Inc for its recent honor for excellence in lending services. At SBC’s 2015 Gawad MSME, BOF, Inc. received a Special Award for Excellence in MSE Lending. BOF was also one of the elite recipients of the award “Mga Natatanging Katuwang” in MSME Risk-Based Lending for the “Araw ng Pasasalamat at Pagpapahalaga” received last July 29th 2014.

The association of BOF with SBC goes back in 2009. BOF, due to its illustrious performance and compliance with SBC’s capacity building program’s eligibility criteria, became one of the ten (10) elite rural banks to participate in the prestigious tie-up program of SBC and Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines or RBAP in rolling out Risk-based Lending Framework through Capacity Building Program or Risk-based Lending for Rural Banks after passing a very stringent screening. To date, there have been more than five hundred (500) MSMEs accorded with lending services by BOF.

SBC is engaged in enterprise development financing and small credit delivery systems in the country. It is an offshoot from merger of Small Business Guarantee and Finance Corporation or SBGFC (created on January 24, 1991under Republic Act 6977,as amended by Republic Act 8289) and Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises (GFSME) as mandated by Executive Order 28.
